American Institute of Architects and the U.S.Green Building Council. Our primary focus is single family residential projects, both new and remodel. Multi-family housing, light commercial projects, and green architecture also comprise an important part of our practice. Our mission is to provide high level architectural design tailored to the specific needs of our clients, grounded in practicality, and delivered efficiently.

We are a corporation, with ownership held equally between two partners, Arthur Cottrell and James Chambers. FWC clientele includes homeowners, builders and developers. Our roots in North Shore residential design reach back over 50 years with the work of Samuel Footlik, AIA and builder relationships spanning over three generations.

The strength of our company lies in the natural complement of talents between the partners. Jim Chambers helps develop the creative concept and Art Cottrell provides the technical and production knowledge to implement the concept. This combination of expertise allows more in depth treatment of each discipline and provides integral checks and balances to our practice.
